A 90,846-square-foot Carol Stream Park District flagship recreation center opened in September 2013. It combines fitness, indoor aquatics, basketball and other recreation spaces, group programming, and rentable multipurpose rooms. The fitness operation is presented officially as Fountain View Fitness and has a separate fitness phone number (630-784-6142).
Swim Academy offers progressive instruction from Parent Tot (6 months–3 years) through preschool, youth, teen, and adult levels; adult/teen lessons can begin with water comfort and confidence. Fitness youth members must complete a no-charge equipment orientation before their first workout. Register through the official site and confirm current class availability, placement, and requirements.
Carol Stream Park District says it provides reasonable ADA accommodations and partners with Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA) for inclusion support at no charge; four weeks’ advance notice is required for inclusion support. The official pool rules state strollers and wheelchairs are allowed on the pool deck. The sources do not publish a complete facility accessibility inventory, so contact the district/ADA coordinator at 630-784-6163 or ADACoordinator@csparks.org to confirm specific needs.
The center offers family-oriented indoor pools, open swim, swim lessons beginning at 6 months, pool parties, basketball, and family membership options. Pool rules require children under 10 to be accompanied by an adult age 16 or older, and nonswimmers to remain within arm’s reach of a parent/guardian. Check current supervision rules and program availability before visiting.
The official Fountain View Fitness page displays prices labeled ‘as of November 19, 2025,’ including resident/nonresident memberships, a $12/$18 daily all-inclusive pass, and separate track, lap-swim, rental, and enrollment fees. Prices, eligibility, and fees may change; use the official registration/membership pages or call 630-784-6100 (fitness: 630-784-6142) for current rates. The district states resident rates are available to people who live or work in Carol Stream.
Regular facility/registration-desk hours listed officially are Monday–Friday 5:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m., Saturday 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and Sunday 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Pool, class, and gym access varies by event schedule; the official calendar showed open swim and Swim Academy blocks on August 29, 2026. Holiday hours and programming differ, so check the official calendar before traveling.
