DuPage Well collects the information you voluntarily provide when you subscribe to The DuPage Well Weekly, request the DuPage Walking Guide, choose newsletter interests, or sign in to create a resident profile. This may include your first name, email address, town, interests, signup source, campaign, and the page or offer where you signed up.

Saved places, itineraries, and profiles

When you sign in and save a local place, we store the place identifier with your account so your private list is available when you return. If you create an itinerary, we also store its title, optional date and description, stop order, times, durations, and notes. These records remain private unless you explicitly create a share link.

A shared itinerary can be viewed by anyone who has its unlisted link. The public view does not include your account or contact information. You can turn off sharing at any time, which revokes the old link. You can also remove individual saved places or delete an itinerary.

How we use it

We use signup information to deliver the newsletter and requested guides, provide account features such as saved places and itineraries, understand which local topics are useful, and improve the experience. We do not sell subscriber or profile information. We do not use your information to provide medical, financial, mortgage, tax, or legal advice.

When you open a third-party website from DuPage Well, we may record an aggregate outbound click. The record can include the button label, link type, destination without its query string or fragment, the DuPage Well page where the click began, and a related business, guide, category, or town. This outbound report does not include your name, email, resident profile, saved places, itinerary, or the search terms contained in a destination URL.

External websites

Official websites, maps, menus, schedules, registration pages, source pages, and social networks open in a new tab. Those third parties have their own privacy practices and may change their content after DuPage Well verifies a profile.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe from any email using the unsubscribe link in that message. You may also contact the DuPage Well team to request correction or deletion of your account information, saved places, and itineraries. Optional interest preferences can be skipped and changed later.
